Be Food Safe

Food handling safety risks at home are more common than most people think. The four easy lessons of CLEAN, SEPARATE, COOK, and CHILL can help prevent harmful bacteria from making your family sick.

The Be Food Safe program in Canada is designed to share the four easy safe food handling practices – Clean, Separate, Cook and Chill– with food preparers in the household so that the risk of contracting microbial foodborne illness at home is greatly reduced.
